How dry? Very dry, about 20% moisture, definitely not over 25%.

You could LIGHTLY dust the bottom of the storage box with DE (diatomaceous earth) and keep the books out of the DE.

Ask your librarioan what else they would recommend in your area.

No need for pesticides if you can control the moisture.
