Hi John, - Sorry for the long message!

Probably you don't do rabbits but thought you may have some advice. I seem to be overrun with rabbits this year (a lot earlier in the season in the grass) but lately have not seen any or maybe one in the grass during the day but now every morning I have rabbit droppings on my back step and brick patio. The patio is level with the grass and being it is red brick who knows how long they have been pooping there - it is only since it was on my cement step that I am aware of it. Since I have grandchildren that go out there???? I order some Havahart spray that says ""DeFenceŽ Rabbit and Deer Repellent contains the highest concentration of the scent deterrent Putrescent Egg on the market - 4.63%. This scent effectively mimics the smell of a dead animal, alerting the rabbit or deer that a predator may be nearby, which in turn, triggers the flight response and causes them to immediately leave the area. While the scent of DeFenceŽ is powerful enough to drive these nuisance animals away and keep them away, it dries completely odorless to humans.""

Since we have crows in the area I am hoping I do not attract them now. I was afraid to get the granules as they contain blood which would surely attract the crows. The spray is only for use on plants so I am planning to spray it around the patio on the grass, mulch and the river stones I have against the house since the company says not to spray it on the patio and it is OK for the kids once it is dry.

Hopefully rabbits and their feces do not carry disease as now anything the kids get daughter will blame on my rabbits.

Please if you have any suggestions. You can not trap and release in MA and can't catch and kill plus you never know what you might get in your trap (I had experience with professional trapping chipmunks and then groundhogs and do not ever want to go through that again) plus at this point - no money for that.

Also, I had an AntPro out on the patio for the pavement ants which works really well and wondered if the rabbits were being attracted to that as I had a mixture of coke and the gourmet ant bait so I took it away but still am finding droppings (and ants) so do you think I can put it back, maybe this time using water and ant bait instead?

Thank you for any suggestions and input. You have always saved the day for me.
