IGRs can take more than 90 days to take effect. While the roach baits work pretty quickly, in a couple of weeks.

IGRs are used along with baits and insecticides to make up for the possibility that you don't get all the roaches.

I would use it, along with baits, in, say, a heavily-infested structure that has had multiple extermination attempts in the past, by professionals and/or amateurs. While it does take some time to work, it can kill those that escape your other attacks.

I would also use it routinely, in places that encounter roaches on a regular basis, such as bars, restaurants, etc.
