I would be really happy to not spray any more poison around. What I am concerned about is that they are still emerging from (I think) beneath the carpet. There were about 15 dead ones again this morning (did spray again last night) within about 12" of the wall and two little white wormy larvae(?). I read somewhere that some of the grain bugs will bore into soft woods and that squares with the bore holes in the bookshelf. Do they eat the wood too or just bore into it to lay eggs? I can't tell if there are just some that had crawled under the carpet at the base of the wall or if they have bored into the plywood sub-floor. If they don't actually eat the wood, no big problem, the ones left there will die off. If they do eat the wood, hmmm... maybe they won't die off so quick. I am thinking of pulling up the carpet in the corner to see what is happening beneath. Here is a photo of the wormy thing. That is as big as I can enlarge it.
