hahaha. Strange things are happenin', eh? Try a glueboard - or even another trap, that really doesn't happen too often. And mice are territorial, so that trap/glueboard may well catch his cronies too.

BTW, the same sort of thing happened to me... I was in Florida, on vacation, this was over 20 years ago.

Got up at night to use the John, as I was standing there, I saw what I thought was a roach, so I quickly put a water glass over it, so I could check it in the morning, with my glasses on, so I could see what kind of roach it was. (I'm an exterminator, right? lol)

Guess what? The roach was GONE - and the glass was still in place. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY ROACH?

So you're not alone...
