They're not harmful and they don't bite. And if that's all you've been seeing, you don't need to do anything chemical about it. Just make sure you leave all your interior door in the OPEN position, so they can acclimate to the air in the rest of the house.
In other words, after a shower, you let the room air out COMPLETELY, the more circulation the better Even the cabinets and closets in the bathroom, leave them open so they air out.
Silverfish survive in high moisture areas, so you want to eliminate that if you can.
Chemicals come LAST. They are expensive (exterminators are too) and they change things. If you need something done, ALWAYS get a pro. Just make sure he's not a salesman!
