So I have never in my life had pest problems. I moved into a new building a few months ago. I live on tge 3rd floor of avthree floor apartment building that was built in the 1960s. To my knowledge there haven't been mouse issues. However, my cat sootted a mouse on Saturday monrninh. It was about a foot away from my balcony sliding door. I have been keeping it open while at home about an hour a day so my cat can sun bathe. This was maybe a few minutescafter I had shut the door for tge day. My cat fkew actoss the room. It startled me. Then I saw a blurr abd then a tail sticking out from under my blinds abd heard a squeak. I was freakibg out - a mouse could run anywhere and hide under furniture, I thought. So I opened my door and my cat had it backed against the glass abd order him out and he took the mouse out and ate it. (Yuck). So then the question became: did it come in from the balcony? I have checked drawers, closets, cabinets, under sinks, along wall. Etc. I see no holes, no disrupted food, no mouse poop. I do hear creaks mow and then at night. I always assumed it was the age of the building and maybe to do with it's settling. Anyone have any ideas on this? And if there are mice in the walls, what would need done?
