The Gentrol is a growth regulator. Actually not an insecticide, it disrupts their life cycle. The hot spot is a blend of chems.
If you already have the hot spot, use it. If you have to BUY either, get the Gentrol.
Don't mess with the plumber until you have to. Fishing the camera down a line can be expensive in its own right! Try a couple of rounds with the Gentrol (or other stuff) first. If you continually get them back, you'll have to find out why.
