You sure they're smokeys? They usually are outside... They will come inside, at times, but they' related to the American roach, and those are outside bugs, they will come inside too.
They're really not too hard to handle, the Advion bait should be all you need. The IGRs take awhile to work, up to 90 days or more, and they won't kill any adults, it is used on the babies - it prevents them from moving to another instar (stage) and they die. Even the baits take awhile - depending on your problem, anywhere from a couple of months, up to 6 months for a long-established infestation.
So give it some time. Make sure you have covered all the areas where pipes are, kitchen, bath, basement, etc... Take off the electrical covers and put some bait in there.
Forget about caulking, all that stuff - THEY'RE ALREADY IN THERE! Just bait and keep a log about what you've done, so you'll know in the future.
AND NO BOMBS! Yes, you'll kill some, but the ones you DON'T kill (and there is always some) will be scattered. And you'll start seeing them where you haven't before.
Get back with any questions.
