I think the best thing for you to do would be to call the rental office or your landlord and request pest control services. Make sure it's a REAL exterminator, (no maintenance men, etc) and, if you can, BE THERE when he comes! If you have a sample, GREAT - but if not, be able to describe everything you've experienced.

If they give you any static, call the health dept. Let me know how it goes...
