On closer inspection the 1030 does have door springs. My mistake.

Update: I took down some sheet rock and now have the trap inside the drop ceiling in another apartment (family member)tied to a roof joist for support. The squirrel was heard in this ceiling last night. I set the trap up as a one door configuration. Wish me luck.
