I've got an attic fan with a mushroom cap on the outside. There is wire mesh that extends from the collar of the fan to the bottom of the mushroom cap. It is riveted in place, but at least one crafty squirrel keeps pushing his way in between the rivets. He's also come in over the top of the mesh, under the cap, where you can't rivet. How can I shore up this mesh to keep the little bugger out before I have a family?
