Once a squirrel learns that he can get in a screen just by ripping through it, you're in trouble. You must either reinforce ALL your screens with hardware cloth or trap and remove that squirrel before others learn the same trick.

Feeding birds (or any wildlife) is a definite no-no. Don't do it. This habituates animals to humans and this is not good.
