It is small enough to get inside the duct work, with holes in the duct work apporx. the size of tennis balls or a little larger. It was strong enough or heavy enough to tear out the duct work from the vent and yet it is too big to fit through the vent going into the house. So it is not a mouse; I have seen a raccoon in my yard a few times but there wasn't a hole big enough for the critter to enter the crawl space to begin with; so it is doubtful that a raccoon is the possible culprit. Any other thoughts on what it could be? Or how can I find out what it is? I have yet to see it.
