Put the trap outside, near where the squirrels are entering. Bait the trap but disable it until you see mom out with the babies. As soon as you see that, you'll catch mom pretty quick, after all, she's been getting free food from your disabled trap. After you catch (and put down) mom, the pups will enter the trap and you'll catch them too. Put them down too. (See the post above for the reason.)
And when you're baiting the disabled trap, DON'T rebait it every time she takes it. Maybe half the time. Make her search for it.
