I had asked for some advice about getting chipmunk smell out of a nice living room couch. A chipmunk had been brought in by our cat and lived inside the couch for about a week, we think. The resulting odor was really awful, and I thought we would have to throw out the couch. I tried a lot of stuff to get rid of the smell( nature's miracle, skunk stuff, urine off). None of that worked. But Odormute did. It's powder you mix with warm water. I had to douse the couch several times, to the point where water was dripping onto the floor. I washed the cushions in Odormute. Still had to spray the seams by hand, but it seems to have worked. We have a couch covered in microfiber, which took the spray well, and didn't have any residual water marks. One of the foam cushions is still a little smelly, it was hard to get them completely sopped, but we've duct taped a garbage bag around it and put it into the cover for the winter. If the smell is truly gone completely from the couch after a few months, we will go to the expense of having another foam cushion made.
