John,

In terms of trap placement, I thought that I was doing just fine. As I mentioned before, because of my ‘Mother Earth’ neighbors, I can only place my traps in an alcove at the REAR of my house. I caught and dispatched nine squirrels since last Friday, and since I hadn’t heard much squirrel activity in my attic, I thought I was winning. That is until an hour ago, when I heard a lot of squirrel scratching and running etc., in a crawl space at the FRONT of my house, above my dining room. This is not the first time I have heard them up there, but I figured that since the squirrels would go out every day in search of food, whatever, I would eventually ‘get em all’, regardless of where my two 1040 traps were located. Am I kidding myself, or should I risk placing a trap in the FRONT of my house to trap the squirrels in the front crawl space? Or should I just be patient, and leave the traps in the rear alcove in the hope that the ‘front’ squirrels will eventually find them? Again, my yard is not that big, so I can’t understand why I can’t catch those buggers! Should I chum? I am at a loss as to what to do next.
Thanks in advance,
Yank
