Yes, you'll (eventually) get the ones going into the attic. Forget the ammonia, it really doesn't bother them enough to keep them out.

They MIGHT NOT go in the attic when it's summer, but you never know for sure - I have seen them do that in all seasons, no matter how hot it gets.

Trap until you have them all. If they go in the trap outside, they'll go in it when it's inside.

Keep chum inside all the time so you'll know when they're not there.
