"Decontamination and spraying" probably won't hack it. Besides, it might not even be necessary, unless they've been in there for ages.

As far as the gutter covers are concerned, remember, squirrels can chew through anything less than steel. So you can use aluminum as your barrier, if they want to get back in, there's a good chance you're going to wind up doing some more repairs.

Don't know what to say about the quote, I don't know the specifics of your house or the conditions.

And, of course, if a pro does it, you want some sort of a guarantee. And that he'll show up if you do have to call him back. In other words, get a good guy.
