You might be on to something there John! I placed the trap with both doors closed baited and chummed late yesterday. Heard some scurrying around last night. Checked my trap this morning and the bait had been moved from one end to the other pb missing from bread and the chum gone. Is the 1040 useless against flying squirrels (didn't know they were in Ma.) or can I wrap the cage in 1/4 X 1/4 wire mesh? Thinking back about the baby's caught they had real big eyes not sure if that makes a difference or not, didn't think much about it till now
