Get the regular squirrels first, with live traps. You can also shroud a Hava-Hart 1040 with hardware cloth and get the flyers too. Otherwise, use snap trap or glueboards for the flyers.

Any "metal" flashing MUST be steel. Anything less they can chew through. And 4 grand for that sounds a bit steep... I think you could get a roofer to do this a lot cheaper. And my suggestion would be to use hardware cloth (it's steel) and will also allow the ventilation. A roof is made this way, it MUST have ventilation, that's what that space is there for.
