Well, much as I hate to say it, you don't actually NEED to buy a trap from me.... If you are around on the weekend, just leave the trap out, baited, with (perhaps) some birdseed around. That will keep the squirrels interested,, and on the weekend you could go to town! You might also cover the trap with a box opened on the appropriate end(s) so the birds don't enter. Some might, but few will want to enter a situation like that. It won't bother the squirrels, however.

The squirrels will go into a box that has both ends open readily, which is why I like the 1040 so much.
