I also see you probably can't let them go in the park. After reading the experimentation with relocating them, I think the best solution will be to exterminate/eradicate them.
I'm still curious as to what would make them start this after 15 years. The winter was not especially cold that they'd be wanting to get inside. My house is the only one in the neighborhood with damage, and I'd love to know why they chose mine, so that I can maybe prevent this from happening again. I can NOT afford this roof, let alone if it happens again.
Any tips on getting insurance companies to cover damage done by rodents? LOL
