We have had the same patio furniture for years, but this is the first year we've had a squirrel gnaw on the metal edges of it. There are teeth marks all the way around the circular table - right through the baked-on paint to the metal. Same with the arms of the patio chairs....teeth marks on them all. We know it's a squirrel - we've seen it in action. Why do they do this, and how can I prevent any more damage?
