A bit high? That's a LOT high! Get a local roofer to do the job, it's not that hard. Use half inch hardware cloth to seal off those areas, a lot of times you can slip it under the shingles and behind the fascia, it depends on how your house is built.

A friend of mine didn't like ladders either, so he rented a scaffold and did it himself.
