While I was standing there looking at one of the spots for no longer than 30 seconds, the little SOB comes over the ridge of the roof (I stood perfectly still) and crawls down to the gutter (shown at the bottom of the first picture). He looks around (Iím guessing squirrels do not see well and go by movement) within three feet of me (unfortunately, I had a camera instead of pellet gun/shovel/anything in hand). He then crawls close to the chew marks and jumps in the crepe myrtle tree. I stand waiting for a few minutes to see where he might go and never see him leave. I then realized that SOB has a nest in the crepe myrtle tree! I am sure he is not the only one chewing, but he is probably the majority. Would disposing his nest help?
Thanks, Chewed Up.
Nest like 10 feet from this spot:
Found two more spots on front of house. Both in direction of his nest:
On the back side of the house, they have been chewing on the fence for years... figured they would chew here instead of house:
