Tie a rope around the top of your chimney and drop the end all the way down. If they couldn't leave before then now they will have the rope to climb up. Stuff some newspaper in the open corner of the cap and keep an eye on it. Once it's pushed out the squirrels will be gone, or you can put in a one way door. Seal immediately!
