I havent actually seen a squirrel in my house. I live in a row home. I have heard scratching in my ceiling (under the attic) usually in the night and early morning hours. I also hear running and scratching in my dropped ceiling in the basement. There was a squirrel sitting on my deck eating at the wood the other day. recently i am finding shredded items with teeth marks in them in various spots, (not even food!) Highlighters (in my daughters bedroom, gnawed away at, in the trundle bed!), plastic items, in the kitchen... It even ate away at one of those circular mouse traps at the black plastic area of it. Over the years i have caught a few mice, but recently no mouse trap has caught anything. My question is, could this be a squirrel, do squirrels behave like this, would they really be gnawing away at plastic and entering living spaces? would you recommend putting a squirrel trap in the kitchen. I dont see any holes it could be getting through. I think its so difficult to determine entry points... i just find it hard to believe a squirrel would be running thru bedrooms....we also never see any droppings at all, they way we used to see with mice. ty for any input
