We have lots of squirrels in our (connected) backyard here in town. They have gotten into our crawl space recently. (Our neighbor has a large oak tree that drops a LOT of acorns so this is not helping).
I have been able to trap and eliminate 3 squirrels in less than three days. My question is...how many are there likely to be? Obviously I can set the trap once a day in perpetuity but I'd rather not. How many squirrels are there likely to be in a one square block area? Since I can't cut down the neighbor's tree (nor would I want to) how many of these guys am I going to have to trap and get rid of?
I realize that eventually new squirrels will move in, and I'm not out to rid the world of squirrels. But I'd like to at least get rid of the ones that have some memory of being in my (and my neighbor's) crawl space.
