I have some squirrels getting into my attic. I noticed that they had chewed through plastic screens that were in air vents in my roof. I had some chicken wire laying around and I covered each of the vent openings with wire. I also put some bait in the attic and have confirmed that the squirrels are getting in. My main questions are will the chicken wire be a small enough hole to keep squirrels out or can they get through it. Secondly I have tried to get them with a trap but they consistently eat any bait out in the attic around the trap but leave the trap alone. It has not been eaten or sprung in 2 weeks. Also - since i covered the openings they were getting in I know that there are still animals coming into the attic so I think that I may have missed an opening they are using. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!
