How long? It really depends on the healrh of the squirrel. A healthy, full-grown squirrel is, more or less like most mammals. Without food, maybe two weeks or so. Without water, maybe 2-4 days. But by the 3rd day he will be too weak to do much of anything.

Have that chimney capped!
