Thanks for the info.

I started putting up some screen yesterday, after I received your answer.

It sure is easier to cut than the 1/2"!!

The problem is, most times the power stapler I'm using pushes the staple right through the wire.

So if I understand your reply correctly, the 1/4" screen I have, even though it's fairly thin, is enough to keep the flying squirrels and bats out, as was your experience, but it's still not very strong stuff.

If that's the case, I'll just go ahead and use it, being careful not to push the staples through while installing it.
I guess the time I save cutting it so easily will be spent on stapling it by hand, instead of with the power stapler!
