First of all, don't "spray" ANYTHING... Most importantly, you don't REALLY know what it is. Once you know, then you (or the Pro) will know what to do about it. Could be mice, chipmunks or even flying squirrels.

As long as you've contacted a Pro, I would wait for him. A day or two won't matter anyway.

My first guess would be squirrels, go through my two squirrel pages and see if you can determine if this is so.
