Cockroaches are a major specialty of mine. You should pack a lot of your things like clothing in 3Mil COntractor bags (I'll explain this at the end) and Remove all your cabinet and dresser drawers (after you prepare a nice solution of quality residual/contact spray)
Huge infestation? Hire a licensed professional since a quality service takes much expertise and at least an hour (extra time you most likely do not have because of your move).
Spray all the empty drawers and inside all of the cabinet especially the Top inside corners.
Toasters, Television sets (35" and under), Microwave, Blender should be bagged up for the move Vs. Boxing up because you may have roaches in the motor housings
As a do-it-yourself I would suggest aerosol, but maybe you could just leave them in sealed bags for over a month instead to suffocate/starve the cockroaches in these devices of water...
Same with the clothing, instead of being subjective to aerosol...
You really don't even want a professional spraying, dusting electronics, linens, toys, clothing items...
Major to me Sounds Major and I've done Countless major jobs...
The key to a successful transition is to have your empty new Home sprayed in all cracks and crevices top to bottom with a professional full strength treatment....
Request a company uses either Talstar(Bifenthrin, Tempo Ultra, Suspend SC, and add a growth regulator like Gentrol, Archer, or Nyguard.
Have a safe move
