On the side of our 70-year-old house in Seattle we see signs of some kind of pest, but we're not sure what it is. At the edge of the sidewalk that goes around the side of our house, there is a hole in the dirt. Many evenings, water begins running from an area near the hole and trickles down our front stairs. When we noticed this tonight, we also noticed little white grains that look like rice. Could these be termite droppings? This water occurrence happens frequently, always in the evenings after dusk (even when it's sunny out). We do not have any sprinklers, nor does our neighbor. Obviously we're very concerned. We'd appreciate any information from anyone who might recognize the rice-like droppings (we're assuming they're droppings). Thanks!
