Well, more termites have shown up almost three months after the full Termidor treatment (11/29/07). This time four feet back from the middle of the front door. My wife was working with the front door and leaned back and she felt her finger nail go into the wood floor finish. They broke through the wood surface about the 1/3 the size of a no. 2 pencil eraser (what’s odds that she found the one small place they broke through). I could see them moving around and looked very healthy to me. That was yesterday. This morning they covered the hole with dirt. These bugs are destroying my floors and who knows what else. I called the exterminator and they are coming back out tomorrow. They told me they should be gone within 90 days and seemed surprised of the activity. The closest water pluming is about 10 feet away in the kitchen which was included in the treatment. When the floors were being put in there were no cracks in the foundation floors and there is a layer of glue between the wood floors and the concrete slab. They permanently removed the dirt in the flower bed on the front porch to just about the footer and below the first row of bricks then trenched. Any idea how these termites can be healthy and still destroying my house? Any ideas were they are gaining access? What can I expect the exterminator to do tomorrow?
Thanks
