Just for reference, sorry:

Of course, I am speaking of subterranean termites.
The flying termite I killed was a swarmer and of this I am sure. When they performed treatments at neighbour homes I was curious enough to ask the guys who did the work to show me the bugs (flying bugs, and also workers).

I am sure the swarmer was not a flying ant because I had an experience with those too. They disappeared after I caulked very well small crevices around "outgoing water pipes" and have never had a problem with them again. If I've gained anything throughout these experiences is to distinguish both very clearly. The ants I had (before the termites) were larger than the latter, had different wings and also waists.

The cost of a perimetral treatment in Guadalajara where I live (second largest city in Mexico) is about 1,500 USD. If this is going to be a permanent problem (having to do treatments periodically), I am definitely going to move sometime in the future. Not one person that I know of has gone through this; just I. Could you also tell me about this?

All your advice is highly appreciated, really.
