I had two companies visit today and checked the entire property - one telling me the only choice was to tent again, the other offering Termidor spot treatment, with depending on which plan I choose, the possibility of a 2-year warranty for dry wood and subterranean termites (which we have never had signs of). The warranty can also be renewed, which means they'll keep spot treating as long as we like.
I loathe the idea of tenting again. It's a big hassle (we have pets and school age children), and obviously it doesn't keep the termites from coming back. We'll probably sell this house in 5 years. It's also much more expensive.
Would I be crazy to do the spot treatment? Even if my problem is in walls? Thanks in advance. We are in California.
