Drilling and treating the wood will not end the problem. You need to treat the GROUND.

Probably what happened, is the post was put into the ground first, then concrete was poured around it as it was in the hole. That leaves the BOTTOM of the post in contact with the ground, allowing the termites to enter the post from there. You need to get the treatment to the BOTTOM of the post.
