I cut it up and moved most to another location for burning. The remaining trunk is about 2.5 ft in diameter and 8 ft long. It lies parallel to and aprox 6 inchs from the fence. She wants me to spend money to have it removed as she is afraid it will attract termites that will then destroy her fence. I have other priorities for my money. It's my understanding that cedar is not the wood of choice for termites but they will consume it if they do not have other options. Maybe I should be concerned that the critters are going to get in her fence and then jump on my log. I plan on moving the log a couple feet away when I get the time and some extra manpower in an attempt to keep the peace. (Maybe they can't jump that far.) We live on 28 acres in the contry of Tennessee. The property is mostly wooded. I've got a real problem if I have to worry about all the trees that are out here. What do you think?
