I think they should come back and fill up the holes with concrete. Maybe they forgot? I often use the packing peanuts, but I always fill the holes the rest of the way up with concrete. That's the way you're supposed to do it....
The way it works at my company, is you pay a yearly renewal fee, which includes an inside and outside inspection each year, and when you STAY on our renewal plan you never have to pay for another termite treatment again. (To that same house.) Check with your termite guy to see how they work it.
And, even after your 10-12 years, you don't automatically get another termite job... The treatment might actually last longer than that. It also might be a SHORTER time, and that's the reason you should have a renewal plan and continuing inspections, to make sure the termites don't come back and seriously damage your home.
