The termites (subterranean) come from the ground... So that probably means they worked their way up from the basement - or crawl. Or whatever is immediately below the bathroom. They come up through the inside walls, filtering out to where you can see them, any place they can. It doesnít mean they arenít other places either, they can also be in other places and they can come back again, anytime.

The proper treatment for subterranean termites is to the ground. So in-wall treatments are usually not required, actually, Iíve never even done one, I never felt the need, and Iíve been doing this for almost 40 years.

Call your exterminator, save a sample and see what he says. Make sure you point out where they were coming from.
