The house is two years old and is in a newer subdivision. We have no neighbors on the sides, so it's all trees, and about 100 feet of trees (technically labeled a wetland) behind. I've been keeping tabs around the house for carpenter ants since last year, and haven't seen any signs of termites until now. The left side of the door frame was caked with dirt and roaming termites. Needless to say I didn't sleep much last night. What would be a recommended course of action? Should just a spot treatment be done, or considering the wooded area should the entire perimeter be treated? Are we talking big $$?
