I recently found termites in three shrubs that are next to the house. I've done a lot of reading on the Internet. Some sites say to remove the tree before you treat. Others say not to disturb the tree and treat, because then the termites will just relocate. We have not seen any sign of termites in the house (brick house on slab). Could it be that they are just in the shrubs? Is it possible for us to treat them ourselves? If so, what is the best way? We are in the Dallas, TX area. These are just little shrubs, so we don't mind cutting them down if that's what it takes. We do have a very big Oak Tree that we don't want to lose, so we definitely want to get rid of them before they get there!
